I am already neutered, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Oliver is a young 9 month old male kitten. He is a golden red tabby with medium hair. He was found by a nice family out in apache junction who had every intention of keeping him when they brought him in for his neuter. At the vet he tested positive for Felv and because the family had another cat already they were forced to make a hard decision. Luckily the director of Little Rascals is a surgical veterinary technician at the vet they brought him to and before they had to make the hard decision to euthanize him she stopped the family and asked if she could try to find him a home through the rescue. The family was thrilled! He had been such a wonderful kitty for the short time they had him and always used his litter box and was wonderful with the kids. He really does have more of a dog personality than a cats and loves attention and will come running up to us as soon as we go in the room. He loves to be picked up and carried around like a baby and will curl up in your lap for snuggle time. He had been sleeping in a little girl’s bed before he came to the rescue and would love a family to take him home and let him do that again. He is not afraid of anything and loves to play. Little Rascals Rescue is a foster based 501c3 non profit animal rescue founded on the belief that a few caring people can make a difference in many animals lives. In Maricopa county alone 900 animals are euthanized a week. That number is way too high and through the effort of rescue groups like ourselves we believe we can make an impact on the lives of the many animals being euthanized daily. We live by the mantra 1 adopted and 2 saved, meaning every time someone adopts an animal from us we go pick up another off the euthanasia list, so thats 2 lives you save by adopting one animal. Our group is dedicated to saving the animals other rescue groups just can't save, mainly the medical and behavioral cases. That doesn't mean we won't have plenty of highly adoptable animals also.
Adoption day every Sunday at Petco I17 & Happy Valley 2501 W. Happy Valley from 11am-6pm. We always have dogs, cats and lots of kittens to meet. Set up a meeting time and place, and see if the personality of the cat or the dog fits into your family. To adopt a animal you need to fill out our application. After we take a look at that its just a contract taking ownership of the animal. We have a 10 day full refund trial period to make sure your new family member fits with the whole family. After the 10 days, we will always take back the animal if you are no longer able to care for them for any reason.
