Gidget's Story...
Gidget is a 3 year old female who came to AGB from a military family who had to move and were unable to keep her and her companion dog, Mr Toby. They had tried to find them a home where they could visit but realized when they went to visit that the new owners were not taking care of them. They knew that Gidget and Mr Toby would be better off with a better forever home and they contacted AGB. They are currently going through their wellness checks and we will update when we have more information when it is available. There is a possibility of separating them but we would love to find them a home where they could stay together. They love children and want nothing more than to be a member of the family. See her at www.adoptagoldenbirmingham.com. or call 205-290-7788, or email lindsay@adoptagoldenbirmingham.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gidget, a BIRMINGHAM Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in BIRMINGHAM, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in BIRMINGHAM.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in BIRMINGHAM already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a BIRMINGHAM breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in BIRMINGHAM paves the way for another one to be saved.
