Fonzie's Story...

Fonzie is a large, handsome silver tabby. He was trapped through our Trap-Neuter-Return program in 2011 with his sisters Frida and Fiona, making him about 1.5 years old as of January 2013. He's a big boy that's learning that he loves being pet under is chin and on his back ,and that he loooooves treats of all kinds. He's an outgoing guy that loves to play with people and other cats, so he would be an awesome playmate for another kitty. Fonzie has never iived in a house before though, so whoever takes him home needs to be able to provide patience and understanding that it might take him a little while to get used to normal house things like wood floors, carpets, tile, couches, beds, etc. If introduced properly to a cat-savvy or at least an easy-going dog I'm sure he will do well with a dog. Fonzie is a ton of fun and has proven several times now that he is a Master Mouser, as after Hurricane Sandy when all the mice were looking to the CCC as shelter from the storm, he ate every last one of them and was unbelievably proud of himself. Come meet Fonzie, he's been here for so long looking for the right family!

Please call before driving long distancers to the shelter to make sure that any cat(s) you are interested in are still available at the shelter, or if they are in a foster home can be brought to the shelter for you to meet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fonzie, a Webster Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Webster, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Webster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Webster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Webster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Webster paves the way for another one to be saved.
