Professor Plum's Story...
This sleek and handsome boy was rescued as a kitten from the basement of a Newark apartment building along with his littermates: six males and one female. All were bottle fed and grew into beautiful, healthy cats. He loves attention and people. He gets along well with other cats and dogs that live in his foster home. He would love a furever home! Prof. Plum has tested negative for FIV/FeLV and is up to date on all of his shots. You can visit him on adoption days at the Old Bridge Petco on Rt. 9 South and Ernston Rd. on Saturdays from 11-4. If you would like more information or would like to request an adoption application, please contact Mary at, or call 732-236-9305. Application is required for adoption. Photo is of him and his brothers - Col Mustard, Mr Pink, Mr Green too

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Professor Plum, a Berkeley Hts Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Berkeley Hts, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Berkeley Hts.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley Hts already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley Hts breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley Hts paves the way for another one to be saved.
