Mimi's Story...
This precious and petite little lady is Mimi, a chihuahua/yorkie/shih tzu mix that is in search of a very special home. Mimi is only around a year old, but this young pup has had a tough time of it so far. She was surrendered by her owners because they could not take care of her medical issues. Little Miss Mimi has been known to suffer from seizures, and she also has chronic neck pain. She will need medication for both of these conditions for the rest of her life. Our veterinarian can explain more about her conditions if you are interested in adopting her, but please don't write her off because of this...you will be missing out on an absolute angel! Mimi is such a little princess. She is a bit shy when she meets new people, possibly because she is afraid of getting hurt. Once she realizes that you're ok, and that you'll be very gentle with her, she'll be your best friend. She has already bonded with her caretaker, and squeaks now to be held and cuddled by her! Mimi is very prim and proper, and is just the perfect little lady. She would love a quiet and relaxed home with gentle and patient people, and no other pets or small children. Mimi has so much love to give and would love to be your little lap dog and companion forever....please give our sweetheart a chance! 9/26/12 File#21904

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mimi, a Forked River Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
