Dacey's Story...
Meet Dacey. She is a six year old Collie girl that was turned in to the KC Sheltie rescue from her previous owners. Her family found themselves busy working all day and even busier with their children’s activities six nights a week. This left Dacey home alone almost all of the time which they felt was not fair to her. She is a very social girl, loves to play and run, and just have fun. She is house trained, crate trained, spayed, micro-chipped and UTD on all of her vaccines including the Flu shot! She is a small gal and only weighs 51 lbs. She would love an active family that would include her in their activities. She would really enjoy being a jogging partner or just accompanying her new family on daily walks...on a leash of course! Her previous family took her to the spa for Christmas which included a 'puppy cut'. Her gorgeous collie coat is growing back nicely and she is sure to be a real 'looker' once her full coat comes in. Dacey is so looking forward to meeting her new family. She would love it if she was lucky enough to have a brother too that she could play with. However, she does not get along very well with female dogs, nor cats. Email if you are interested in visiting her....Dacey will be waiting by the laptop for your response!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dacey, a Mission Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in Mission, or seeking a Collie dog from a breeder in Mission.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mission already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mission breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mission paves the way for another one to be saved.
