Bogie's Story...
FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID

Meet Bogie! Bogie is a male heeler/border collie mix who came to Fuzzy Pawz rescue as a stray. His age is about 1.5 years old, and he's still very much a puppy. This guy has TONS of personality and is as sweet as they come. He's very affectionate and loving. His favorite place to be is wherever his person is, laying down where he is touching their feet.

Bogie is a typical herding dog, and should be in a family who understands this breed very well. He has a lot of energy, but calms down appropriately when play time is over. And boy, does he love to play! Bogie is very active and busy busy busy, so he needs to have stimulating activity or he could find something to get himself into trouble! He loves having a lot of toys to play with, and he's really cute when he tosses the toy around for himself to chase. He's very appropriately behaved indoors and out and just wants to hang out with his people.

Because of some of his herding instincts, Bogie should not go to a home with children under the age of 12. He is great with cats and dogs, is house trained and good in a crate. He does not know basic obedience, but is so smart he'll learn in a flash. He's already learned some house rules without much effort at all. He's eager to please, so would enjoy training sessions and maybe even work up to agility or flyball.

He needs to be in an active household with daily walks and playtime.

Bogie has been neutered, is up to date on vaccinations and weighs approximately 35 pounds.

If you think Bogie would fit into your family and you can give him a forever home, please go to http://www.fuzzypawzrescue.com/adoptionapplication.htm

There is a $40 adoption fee for Bogie.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bogie, a Boise Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie for sale in Boise, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Boise.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boise already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boise breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boise paves the way for another one to be saved.
