Rocky's Story...
Rocky is an adorable little puppy born approximately November 25 2012. We rescued him from someone selling him outside of a bar. As a result we do not know what the parents were. We were told Rocky is a lab mix, but for his age he is much too small for a lab, and we suspect he is actually a terrier mix. He is only about 4 pounds right now (14 weeks old).

Rocky is your typical happy little guy. He loves kids and loves other dogs, and enjoys running around exploring and playing. He likes to follow you around and prefers to be with you at all times! He enjoys snuggling and being held. He would love a family with kids or a canine companion. Because Rocky is so young, he would do best in a family where someone is home most of the day. This is important for his socialization and training. He will need lots of attention. Rocky is not yet potty trained, though his foster family is working on it. Rocky is usually a pretty quiet and well behaved pup, but if he sees or smells human food- game over!

The adoption fee for Rocky is $275. This includes the price of his neuter surgery at a later date with our vet, up to date vaccinations, deworming, and his veterinary expenses while in our care. If interested in giving Rocky his forever home, please email Jackie at jakrivero@yahoo.com for an adoption application, or call 925-667-7701.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a San Diego Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
