Harvey's Story...
Harvey is amazing. There, it is out there. Harvey is simply one of the sweetest, snuggly, and most squeezable kitties waiting for his foster or forever home. We just can't sing his praises enough. If you are looking for a cat that will greet you and all your guests at the door Harvey is your man. He doesn't judge anyone and wants everyone to feel loved. Who doesn't want a kitty like Harvey? He is still a young man, born in 2011, and wants someone to share a long and happy life with, preferably on your lap while you whisper sweet nothings in his ear. Don't let his cloudy eye deter you, he doesn't feel like it is an issue, so you shouldn't either. If you are interested in this wonderful kitty, please contact Toni at tonimcn@rcn.com or Lisa at catladychicago@yahoo.com. PS. Did we mention that Harvey is amazing? Just checking - This big lover boy is about as affectionate as they come.

If you are interested in learning more about Harvey, or know someone who might be interested, please contact Toni McNaughton at tonimcn@rcn.com or Lisa Ward at catladychicago@yahoo.com.

We are always in need of foster homes. If you are not able to adopt, but are interested in fostering or know someone who might be, we would love to hear from you! Please contact Toni McNaughton at tonimcn@rcn.com or Lisa Ward at catladychicago@yahoo.com to learn more.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harvey, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
