Why Choose me?
Alabama came in as I was about to leave. He greeted me at his gate with a smile and a wag of his tail, so I just had to take him out. He is listed as a stray, but his name was written on his information sheet, so I guess the Animal Control officer had met Alabama before. Once we were in an interaction pen, Alabama was friendly and curious about his surroundings. He chased a few balls for me, but he was too interested in the scents of Animal Control to bring them back. Alabama would come when I called him, and he wagged his tail when I talked to him and petted him. He even jumped up on the bench to sit with me for a while. Alabama is a happy fellow. He’s a handsome dog with the cutest spotted ear. He’s also already neutered! Come meet Alabama today. He’ll probably be waiting at his gate to greet you!

ACCAC is a high-kill county animal control. These postings are monitored solely by volunteers. For the most up to date information, please contact animal control directly. Any animal control officers can give you the most up to date information on any particular dog. General questions can be emailed but for specific animals, call animal control. Animal control is only required to hold an animal for seven days and then, if space is tight, the animal may be put to sleep if not adopted or rescued.
FOR THE DOG SHELTER: Wednesday is euthanasia day so please act by Tuesday if you're interested in a dog!

Sponsorships can be offered for specific animals. The sponsorships only go towards licensed rescue groups that pull that specific animal. Arrangements will be made directly between the individual that offers the sponsorship and the rescue that pulls the animal.
