Benny's Story...
If you are interested in viewing or adopting this kitty, please go to www.orphankittenrescue.com/adopt and fill out an application.

Benny is an awesome cat because he's handsome, playful, well-adjusted AND affectionate! Benny is a big boy with beautiful, shiny fur and amazing muscle tone; you can see how healthy he is at a glance. He'll do huge jumps and flips in the air for a feather wand and loves to play play play for hours! He's a real sweetie and will curl up in your lap or next to you when playtime is over.

Benny is amazing with kids and would make an ideal companion for an energetic household. Benny needs a home with an equally good-natured, energetic and assertive male buddy who can keep up with him and enjoy some full-on kitty wrestle-mania. Because he's so well adjusted, he'd likely also be great with a cat-savvy dog friend although we haven't tried that ourselves. Benny is like that lovable kid we all knew in school who was bigger than all his friends and accidentally knocked everybody over during a friendly game of touch football because he was just having too much fun.

This super guy is definitely not a wallflower and would not be a good fit for a quiet household or a gentler-natured kitty buddy. He's sharing our foster home with a couple of other kitties who are a little less outgoing than he is; everybody gets along but playtime is definitely dominated by Benny. Benny adjusts quickly to new surroundings, has perfect litter-box habits and is just an all-round great guy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benny, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
