JJ in CT- SENIOR's Story...
This handsome boy is JJ. He was surrendered to us due to his owner having health issues. I have to think it's kind of hard to surrender a dog that you've had for 10 years. I don't think it will be too hard on JJ as we found out that this poor senior boy was kept outside. He was brought in the garage only if it was cold. I have come to expect that behavior from some people in the south, but I just didn't think New Englanders kept an outside dog. I am saddened that JJ has to find a new home, but happy that he has a warm place to sleep, a soft bed and friends to play with. JJ is great with kids and is a little on the timid side. He is healthy, up to date with vaccines, and really in need of a home that will treat him like part of the family. If you are interested in meeting JJ, he is available in West Hartford. Please fill out a no obligation application at www.secondchancemutts.com. ADOPTION FEE IS REDUCED TO $100 for this special boy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JJ in CT- SENIOR, a West Hartford Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in West Hartford, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in West Hartford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Hartford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Hartford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Hartford paves the way for another one to be saved.
