I am already spayed and up to date with shots.
Baby is a wonderful 50 pound black lab about 4 years old.
She is quiet and loves to follow her family around wherever they go.
She does not need a crate and can stay in a room with other dogs when you are out. She does not want to be a playmate but sharing beds is cool with the other canines in the family. She thinks cats are so cute!
She loves toys and can play catch so well others are left in the dust.
She arrived with two of her puppies which were quickly adopted and has been treated for heartworm.
For the perfect low key addition to your pack apply for Baby today. If you have a ranch house that is a bonus as she would hate to be left downstairs by herself.
Update 4/9 - Baby had an MRI which revealed she had a compressed disk. She required surgery to prevent loss of nerve control. Baby has been a perfect patient and is progressing nicely in her recovery!

A home visit and reference/vet check will be done to determine the best placement of our dogs. You must complete an application, which will help us determine if the dog you are interested in is a good match for you. Home At Last reserves the right to reject any application and reserves the sole right in determining the best placement for our dogs. The application is not a guarantee of any dog’s placement. You can complete our online adoption application with the name of the dog you are applying for.
An adoption fee is necessary to cover the cost of spaying/neutering, medicating, and caring for dogs that often come from situations of neglect and sickness. We also pay the shelters a fee for every dog we rescue and sometimes have to pay a driver to transport them from shelters to our foster homes in PA and out of harm’s way. Without charging our own fee, we could not afford to do our work. Most PA county shelters get tax-payer funding and large corporate donations to support them so they can afford to let their animals go for a lower fee than we can. We thank you for your understanding.
The adoption fee for all our dogs is $275. We only adopt out dogs that have been spayed or neutered to ensure that no dogs adopted from Home At Last will be used for breeding.
We are a group of volunteers whose goal is to save the lives of homeless dogs suffering in high-kill shelters, as well as owner-surrender dogs who need to be re-homed due to unfortunate circumstances. We are not a shelter, and we have no central location for the dogs we rescue. We pull dogs from various shelters and provide foster homes until they are adopted. In doing so, we hope to provide an alternative to the purchase of puppy mill and pet store dogs, thereby reducing the demand for, and ultimately, the supply of, such dogs. We strive to match each dog with the right family after the dog has been observed in a foster home.
