Where's the beef! I'm right here! My name is Angus. They tell me it's a Scottish name but come on, I'm a dog. Every time I hear my name, I get hungry! The best thing about me is I LOVE to snuggle. If you want an affectionate dog, I'm the one for you. I weigh 65 lbs and am about 7 years old. I'm in great shape and already know how to sit. I'm great on a leash & I am very friendly. And has anybody mentioned that older dogs make great pets? We are done with all that silly puppy stuff and really just want to be with you! Come on over and see how great an adult staffie can be!
Angus is a member of our Pooch With Perks Program! When you adopt, you will receive a Doggie Goodie Bag donated by the Friends of Burlington County Animal Shelter! SPECIAL NOTE: And now, in addition to the Goodie Bag, one of our volunteers has very generously offered to rebate the full shelter adoption fee to the adopter!

The Burlington County Animal Shelter is a place where county residents can take stray and unwanted animals. The Animal Shelter is a line of defense against the spread of Rabies by removing unwanted and stray animals from local communities. In the event that an animal poses a threat to people’s health, the Animal Shelter is responsible for quarantining the animal for further evaluation.
Contact your municipality for information on free Rabies vaccination clinics in your community.
If your animal is lost, please call the shelter and inquire if the animal has been brought in.
