Oscar's Story...
** This is a courtesy posting on our website. Grateful Dogs Rescue has not met or evaluated this dog. Please see the contact information at the end of this posting. **

Oscar and his brother Rambo are both 13 years young. They can be adopted together or separately.

Oscar is our independent yet incredibly loving boy. He loves to sit on your lap and get pet and "purr" but equally enjoys his private time to soak up the sun and nap with his own thoughts. He loves everything from balls to sticks, zucchini and bell peppers even! He enjoys long walks on the beach, a game of catch with the ball and anything that his owner is up for.

Both Oscar and Rambo need to be removed from their home due to a few incidents with the child in their home. Oscar and Rambo are getting into their golden years and want to enjoy these years without worry of getting grumpy with the kids so a home with no children is what would make these two the happiest. Other dogs and humans in the home are very welcome!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oscar, a San Francisco Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso for sale in San Francisco, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in San Francisco.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Francisco already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Francisco breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Francisco paves the way for another one to be saved.
