Betsy - NJ's Story...
Betsy is a small, sweet, friendly and affectionate little miniature girl looking for her forever home. She weighs 11 lbs and is a smooth black and tan dachshund. She dances for her dinner! Betsy has had a dental, she is spayed, and is getting special baths to make her coat beautiful. She gets along very well with other dachshunds, loves people, enjoys car rides, and loves her crate. Betsy also likes a nice chew bone, toys, and sitting with her special person getting petted and being the princess she was born to be. We are guessing she is perhaps 9 years old. She is being housetrained and will need a patient adopter who can help her with a consistent schedule. To protect Betsy because she is small, children under the age of 8 are not appropriate. Betsy is being fostered in Sicklerville, NJ and her adoption fee is $150.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betsy - NJ, a Jacobus Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Jacobus, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Jacobus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacobus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacobus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacobus paves the way for another one to be saved.
