Brownie's Story...
Brownie is a wonderful basset hound girl that is being fostered in Marshfield, MA. She is very sweet and calm. She loves other dogs as well as all people. She is house trained. She loves long walks and romps in the yard or dog park. She also settles easily. She is vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and heartworm negative. Once approved, I will be more than happy to put you in touch with Brownie's foster mom. Brownie is from a high kill shelter in Louisiana. We are looking for a permanent home for her so that she can be loved and cherished for the rest of her life. Please email Leslie at QueenB534@aol.com for an application and more details.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brownie, a Groton Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Groton, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Groton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Groton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Groton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Groton paves the way for another one to be saved.
