Aristotle's Story...

Aristotle is a sweet, 4-year old cat who is in search of a new home through Fuzzy Pawz Rescue.

This handsome man is very good with people of all ages and has quite the laid back personality. He would do great in any home. Aristotle is a fun and friendly kitty who really just wants some people to spend time with who will love on him and let him purr for them.

Aristotle needs to go to a home that has no other cats as he is FIV positive (kitty aids). Now don’t let this scare you off, all it means is that he needs to have no contact with other cats – it is NOT transferable to people, dogs, birds, etc. It does not mean he will not live a long and health life – many cats with FIV live long into their mid teens. Aristotle also has megacolon, this too is nothing to worry about and is treated by keeping him on a high fiber diet or he will get impacted and need an enema. Aristotle has been examined recently by Dr. Ormand at Linder Pet and we have placed Aristotle on the brand of food he needs to be on.

If you would like to add Aristotle to your home please fill out an adoption application at

There is a $10 adoption for Aristotle and he will come with a bag of cat food.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aristotle, a Boise Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Boise, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Boise.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boise already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boise breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boise paves the way for another one to be saved.
