Buddy's Story...

Buddy is a neutered male, DOB 2010.

Buddy is a 3 year old Chihuahua mix that came to us when his owner passed away. He is a little shy at first but bonds very quickly to whoever he is with. He loves to sit in your lap under the blankets or is ready for a game of fetch or tug of war whenever you are.

Buddy gets along great with dogs his size and he loves cats. He gets along with bigger dogs as well but tends to be a bit dominant at times with males. Buddy is crate trained, house trained and knows basic commands. He adjusts quickly to his circumstances as long as you are with him. Buddy would make a great addition to most any home! A fenced yard to keep him safe would be best.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Howell Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Howell, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Howell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Howell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Howell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Howell paves the way for another one to be saved.
