Buster Brown's Story...
This big hunk of love was among 14 dogs no longer having a family to call their own. He is not named yet because we are trying to find someone with knowledge of what he used to be called. He will be tested for heartworms, neutered, and then available for adoption. We are guessing him to be about 10 years old. He has no front teeth and his canines are worn to nubs. That is probably due to eating road kill and pulling items from the ground to eat. He does very well with other dogs and though older has a playful side.

Requested adoption donation of $75 to the Pulaski County Humane Society to help defray expenses. Contact petfinder.pchs@gmail.com or leave a message at 573-512-2102.

Applications are available on our main Petfinder page www.petfinder.com/shelters/MO529.html. Save the application to your computer. Once completed, send it to petfinder.pchs@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buster Brown, a Crocker Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Crocker, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Crocker.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Crocker already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Crocker breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Crocker paves the way for another one to be saved.
