Baby's Story...
Hi my name is Baby and I'm looking for my forever family! I am from 30 miles south of Jackson, Mississippi. I was rescued November 26, 2012. I am very friendly and I love people, especially the people that take care of me. I'm very smart and have learned to sit and come when I'm called. I love to learn new things and make people proud of me. I have a light case of heart worms and I will be treated for that February 11, 2013. The Vet thinks I'm about one and a half years old. I get along well with most dogs, I do run across a male dog occasionally that I don't like. That's only happened once since I've been rescued and that dog doesn't like most dogs.
Transport to New England can easily be arranged through Animal Rescue Front
If you are interested in taking me into your forever home please fill out the adoption form here: http://www.animalrescuefront.org/Adoption-Form.html

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
ARF started in 2005 in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and because of the shocking treatment we saw many animals in the Deep South endure and the extremely high kill rates in their shelter system we have stayed committed to helping animals in the states of Louisiana and Mississippi. Many of these wonderful animals would be killed in a shelter or abandoned outside if not for our continued efforts.
Our Adoption Process...
Adoption donation: $425.00 for our adult dogs 1 to 5 years and $350.00 for those who are older than 5 years of age. Un-neutered puppies (not fixed because they are too young) are $425.00 and neutered puppies <1 year old are $495.00. The adoption donation covers the transport to New England and exceptional vetting from our local veterinary teams down south. As well we reimburse our local rescues down south so they can continue their life saving mission. We do require you to fill out an application and provide a vet reference, and a home inspection may be requested. Every animal we adopt MUST be spayed/neutered and we reserve the right to request proof of this. Our adoption application is on our website at: www.animalrescuefront.org

Thanks for rescuing!

Please note - we will not adopt a puppy to anyone who is not willing and committed to ensuring their new family member never reproduce. Spaying and neutering your pet contributes to efforts to reduce unwanted and homeless animals in the United States and your animal will be healthier. Our adoption fees are nonrefundable after 30 days. If for whatever reason your adoption is not suitable to you or the animal we ask that you return them to us if prior to 30 days.

We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
We are a nationwide animal rescue and disaster response non-profit with a particular focus in Massachusetts, Mississippi and Louisiana.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baby, a Groton Greater Swiss Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Groton, or seeking a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Groton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Groton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Groton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greater Swiss Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Greater Swiss Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Groton paves the way for another one to be saved.
