Laverne and her sister Shirley were found alone in the middle of the road! They were rescued and are living with a wonderful foster mom. They are sweet little girls!
Laverne and Shirley will be available for local adopters after March 1st when they have their second shots. The remainder of their vetting will be prepaid at a local vet of our choosing. A $100 deposit in addition to the adoption fee will be charged for this early adoption. It will be refunded in full if the dogs vetting, including spay, is done within a specific time frame. If the adopter wishes to complete the vetting at an alternative vet the deposit will still be refunded, but there will be no refund of any part of the adoption fee.
Rescue Group Info...
Saving The Animals Together (S.T.A.T.) is a group of animal lovers dedicated to networking and rescuing dogs and cats from our local high kill shelter. We invite you to help us save the lives of these pets on death row.
We are a foster based rescue and as such, we have no public facilities. When you are ready to meet one of our adoptable pets our volunteer staff will work with you to schedule a meet and greet in a public place that is convenient to your family as well as our staff.
Our $200 adoption fee includes vetting, including spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, heartworm/lyme/ehrlichiosis test for all dogs (and treatment for any positive results) and a microchip. (Adopter is responsible to register the chip and pay any registration fees). All of our adoptable pets are current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick preventative. You will find our preliminary application on our website http://www.savingtheanimalstogether.org/#!adoptable-dogs-and-cats/c1yi2
For out-of-state adoptions there is an additional non-refundable $150 transport fee.
Upon completion of this application, a volunteer staff member will contact you for a telephone interview. If you are still interested in adopting a new family member from us, we will ask to check your references and visit you in your home to meet your family members (human, canine and feline!).
We look forward to helping you welcome the perfect new family member to your home!
