" Sugar "'s Story...
Sugar is a very pretty and very sweet long haired Dilute Calico cat. She is 1 year and 8 months old. Sugar was adopted from our shelter in January of 2012 when she was about 8 months old. Her adopters loved her and took great care of her but their daughter began to have issues with allergies, very severe allergies, not just to cats but to other things as well. This took them time for doctors to figure out but when it came down to it the cat had to go according to the doctors. This broke the daughters heart as well as the rest of the family. Sugar had been with them for a full year and was part of the family. Sugar is spayed and is a housecat. She is very affectionate. She likes to be brushed. She likes a scratching post too. Sugar is just a lovely girl and now is in need of another new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

" Sugar ", a New Castle Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in New Castle, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in New Castle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Castle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Castle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Castle paves the way for another one to be saved.
