Gidget's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Gidget's Story...

Meet Gidget...an 8 year old spayed female Rat Terrier.   She was taken to the vet by her former owners to have her euthanized because they did not want to continue to treat her bladder stones.  The vet asked that she be signed over to them and contacted Swampy Paws for help.  Gidget is such a sweet little girl and wants nothing more than to be a lap baby.  She was not raised in a home with other pets or children therefore is not good with either.  She would be wonderful for a retired couple or empty nesters.   Gidget does need to remain on a special dog food to control her bladder stones.

She is heartworm negative and on prevention and fully vaccinated.

Her adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccinations (including Rabies), dewormer, flea prevention/heartworm prevention, heartworm test, vet check and spay.

A fenced yard and home visit are REQUIRED to adopt.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gidget, a Killian Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Killian, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Killian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Killian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Killian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Killian paves the way for another one to be saved.
