My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If only I could speak, I could tell you volumes of what I have been through
in my short life. I found myself on the streets, pregnant, hw positive and
scared...then I ended up in a high kill shelter. This wonderful rescue
saved me and my unborn pups from the fate that unfortunately is too common
for so many other dogs in the same situation. Even though I was young, I
was such a good mommy to my pups, and I was very thankful that they were
safe and being cared for. Once I finished being a mom, I had to undergo
heartworm treatment and restrict my activity for a whole 60 days, which is
very hard for a young dog like myself. You see, I love to run and play with
other dogs, and I think I deserve to do that since I really haven't had much
of a youth up to now. I am looking for a home that can provide me the love
I crave, as I love humans so much. I also would love to be able to run
around and play, chase squirrels and wrestle with a playmate. In the
evenings, I will be by your side, to give you company and hopefully in
return, you will give me some lovely ear scratches and back rubs and tell me
what a good girl I am. My name is Kahlua, and I am looking for my forever
home. Thank you."
