Stella's Info...

Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier Color: Gray/Silver/Salt & Pepper - With White Age: Young
Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg) Sex: Female ID#: NP0017F
Stella's Story...
Stella is 10 months old, spayed, up to date on all vaccines and shots, she takes trifexis for flea and heart worm preventative.

Stella loves to cuddle, will sleep on top of you no matter what. She thinks she's a lap dog. Never shown any food aggression, mostly house broken with the occasional accident, LOVES to chew, crate trained but sleeps in bed at night and loves being under the blankets. She is off standoff'ish towards strangers, she'll cower and try to hide and bark and growl, but give her some love and she's your best friend. She just takes a minute to warm up to people. Never been around children, no cats, and preferably a single dog family. She knows how to sit, stay is a bit of a challenge (she's a wiggle butt and jumper), but with some work I know she'll aim to please. She's a drooler and loves to give kisses. She snores like a freight train and it's the cutest thing. She loves baths and water.

All Nashville PITTIE Adopt-a-Bulls are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested and, if applicable, heartworm free before adoption.

About Our Rescue Group...
Nashville PITTIE was founded by Jana Mandes, a lifelong animal advocate. Jana has been a pit bull guardian for most of her life, with an inherent love of animals and a commitment to making a difference for pit bulls and the communities in which they live. Frustrated with always being on the “defense” and seeing the suffering they endure, we decided to take action to improve these animals’ lives as well as the public perception of the dogs that we know as intelligent, playful, and loyal family pets.

Nashville PITTIE is not a rescue in the traditional sense. We noticed a trend in Nashville’s animal welfare community where a lot of wonderful caring folks opened their hearts, homes, and wallets to rescue efforts and almost immediately became overwhelmed with pleas for help. Too often they find themselves in a vicious cycle of having more animals in need than there is help available. Nashville PITTIE ‘s aim is to get ahead of the issue and prevent homelessness, neglect, and abuse before it happens. The best way to achieve that is through community education and promotion of spay/neuter programs.

Nashville PITTIE is an all Volunteer organization. If you are interested in volunteering, please email volunteer@nashvillepittie.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stella, a Nashville American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Nashville, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
