Walker's Story...
Walker-Treeing Coonhound male, 1-2 yr. Jan. 2013

Walker was found as a stray on a country road. He was brought to a local Veterinary office where he's been waiting for his people to find him. After an extensive search, the Vet's office has asked the Rescue to help Walker find a home. He's a young male, 1-2 years old (Jan. 2013). He's gorgeous, tri-colored, very typical for the breed. Walker is loving and will make a great companion for some lucky person. He's a big boy, almost 50#, very athletic and able to be a
great running partner. He is fine with other dogs, too. His adoption fee is $250 to help cover the medical expenses of getting ready for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Walker, a Germantown Treeing Walker Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Treeing Walker Coonhound for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Treeing Walker Coonhound dog from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Treeing Walker Coonhound breeders who help with Treeing Walker Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
