Blanche's Story...
My name is Blanche and I was surrendered to a local animal shelter where the volunteers thought I may be pregnant. I was soon moved to a loving rescue where I was given medicine for my itchy bugs, I got healthy food, and tons of love. Evidentially, I was not pregnant (despite being housed with males in my previous home) and now I'm ready to find a forever family who will love me for the rest of my life.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blanche, a Pittsburgh Guinea Pig was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Guinea Pig for sale in Pittsburgh, or seeking a Guinea Pig from a breeder in Pittsburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Guinea Pig breeders who help with Guinea Pig rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
