Sammy's Story...
Meet Sammy. Sammy is a two time guest of the local pound. He probably never had a real home with any kind of stability. Sammy is about a two year old, short, stocky, muscular little guy weighing in at 41 pounds (on 2/1/13). Since Sammy is such a muscular dog he does not know his own strength and just playing with younger kids seems that he is being rough. Probably best Sammy not go to a home with small children, not because he won't love them, but because he would knock them down unintentionally. He was very good and unphased by the cats at the vet clinic. Sammy has been in his foster home since 2/1 and is already housetrained! He is very quick to learn and very happy. Sammy was neutered on 2/5/13. If you're interested in a loveable, huggable little boy, this might be the one! For more information, call Teri @(918)694-0429.

Sammy is neutered, weighs 41.6 lbs (2/5/13), 2 years old (approx), current on vaccinations, has been dewormed, is heartworm negative and is newly housetrained.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Glenpool already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Glenpool breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Basset Hound/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Glenpool paves the way for another one to be saved.
