Hiro's Story...
Hiro is a handsome 12 year old Shiba Inu/Chow Chow who loves to play with toys, spend time with his people, and go on walks! He loves everything and everyone! When you come home, he greets you with tail wagging and kisses! Who could ask for a better dog?

He ignores cats, dogs, and gets along well with older children (has been around 12 year olds and older). He gets super excited when his people begin to dance and sing! He is a low energy dog, and sleeps much of the day away, but is always ready to go when you are. He is very polite in the car, and would be a good dog to bring to work with you! He is also very polite on leash, while being groomed, and when at the vet.

Hiro weighs 40.8 lbs. He is deaf, but is quickly catching on to hand signals (smart boy!). He is fully vetted, has recently had a full dental, and is up to date on heart worm preventative.

Hiro is just an even-tempered, happy, and friendly dog, who would make a great addition to any family!

Please consider adding this dog to your home! Email caylebskindred@me.com for more information!

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a new organization founded in memory of an eight year old black German Shepherd/Chow named Cayleb. His story is a sad one, but one that inspired our founder to save others like him. He was taken in as a lost dog to a county shelter, and after three long months, he was beginning to reach the end of his given time. When our founder peered into his kennel, he looked intimidating and scared. She couldn't resist adopting him. As soon as he got outside, he started giving kisses, and happily hopped in the back seat of the car without hesitation. Cayleb quickly became best friends with the founder's current dog (a very dog shy poodle), as well as with everyone he met.
Unfortunately, after a month of morning runs and trips to the dog park, Cayleb began to go down hill quickly. When x-rayed, an inoperable mass was found in his liver, and our founder had to make the tough decision to let him go on July 13th, 2012.
A few weeks later, Cayleb's Kindred Senior Dog Rescue was formed, to help all of Cayleb's "kindred spirits" find loving homes to live out the rest of their days in.

We have had dogs as old as 20 years old in our rescue, and as young as 8. We have all breeds, from Dachshunds to Mastiffs, Coonhounds to Wirehaired Pointing Griffons.
We love our seniors, and hope to spread that love with everyone else!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hiro, a Denver Shiba Inu/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shiba Inu/Chow Chow for sale in Denver, or seeking a Shiba Inu/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shiba Inu/Chow Chow breeders who help with Shiba Inu/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
