Bella's Story...
This is Bella, a 1 1/2 to 2 year old FEMALE Black and Red German Shepherd dog. From German working lines. She is a pretty girl. Pictures do not do her justice! I am the Foster mom and Rescuer. She was found by a good Samaritan and after not being able to find her former family I took her into our Rescue. I would like to get her re-homed to a forever family. She needs a second chance at life. She is trained with basic handling and obedience. She knows sit, down, stay and walks on a leash beautifully. But I will continue to work with her in training until she is adopted where I will encourage the adopter to keep honing her skills. She is very sweet and loves to give kissy face. She is smart and learns very quickly. This girl is energetic and always wants a job. She has a high ball drive and loves to play fetch. She also loves to swim in the pool and is a water dog. She wants to be with her people. She is very loving. She would make the perfect companion dog for someone that wants an active, smart, and loving dog to exercise with or ride a bike or take on a hike. She wants to be near me at all times. Being a GSD she is highly intelligent and easily trainable. I will encourage you to continue her training so she can become a good canine citizen. She is sweet and even tempered. She has a wonderful disposition and personality. She is happy go lucky, mild mannered and a playful. She has a pretty good energy level. She LOVES to go for walks and rides well in a car. She wants to love and please you. She has the most beautiful and mesmerizing deep brown eyes and that floppy ear gives her such character! She likes to play with her toys and enjoys playing with the other dogs here. She is great with medium and large dogs NOT sure with toy breeds. She is great with other dogs when PROPERLY introduced. We have Cat tested her she is courteous and friendly with them but may give chase with no intent to hurt. So it would be up to a cat owner to decide. She is EXCELLENT with kids as she lives in foster care currently with 3 from the ages of toddler to 6 years of age. She also lives with another dog and does great with him. She has a very balanced nature to her. She is not aggressive that we have observed in anyway. She is a strong tempered and steady female. But she is a typical German Shepherd and will protect her people and property. She is a young lady full of energy. She is house broken but we will encourage you continue to work with her to reinforce what she already knows due to her new environment change to your home. She is kennel/crate trained. She is very loyal to humans. She follows me around the house and loves being near me. she loves human contact. She is just an all around great GSD. She has no known health issues and completely vetted. Hips are just fine. She needs to find a home with a family or to someone with lots of time for training and to give this sweet dog exercise as well as build her confidence. She would make a wonderful addition to any family or person. German Shepherds require continuous training and stimulation as they can get board easily. They are a very intelligent breed. So when considering "adopting" one please do your research to see what they require and all that they entail. Make sure this is the RIGHT breed of dog for you.

These dogs live to be around 10-14 years old. Are very intelligent and need a lot of stimulation. ("A German Shepherd mind is a terrible thing to waste"). They are a very loyal and loving breed. They make good companions. I, myself have four and love this breed very much. I would be happy to help you with any further information you need to know on this Breed of dog. Please do your research on this Breed to make sure it is the right one for you or your family.

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a small privately operated and donation sustained 501 (c) 3 Non-profit German Shepherd Rescue. All donations are tax deductible. We strive to give this wonderful breed a second chance at life due to circumstances out of their control. We pull from Kill Shelters, take in Owner surrenders and help out stray or ill dogs that no one wants. We have two acres here where the GSD's live with us in our home. We provide them all the medical care necessary, give them their basic training commands and socialization skills so that they may go to their new homes as god Canine citizens and we well rounded for their new adopters! We will NOT adopt a dog out unless it's a "match" for both dog and human. We love our dogs and we will always put them first.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a Phoenix German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
