Mallory is a female brown tabby kitty with white paws who was born on approximately 5/21/12. Mallory was surrendered to Wayward Paws after being attacked by an unknown animal when she was around 3 weeks old. Her face was so swollen due to trauma from her injuries and an upper respiratory infection, you could not make out any of her facial features and had to be tube fed until she was 5 weeks old and bottle fed until she was 10 weeks old. Despite all medical efforts, her right eye had to be removed. Mallory was 10 weeks old before she was able to eat canned kitten food on a plate and 16 weeks old before she was able to eat dry kitten food due to her inability to smell also caused by her injuries. She has regained most of her sense of smell and now eats like a horse. The injury to her face has affected the growth plate in her face which has given her a kind of pug look. Mallory is a very outgoing, social, loving and playful kitten despite all she went through those first few weeks of life. She is currently living with other adult kitties and an adult dachshund in a home setting.
Due to her short nasal passages, Mallory cannot use any clay type of litter as it will cause her to have severe upper respiratory issues. She is currently using a clumping corn and pine litter. Mallory has been dewormed, treated for fleas and ear mites, tested negative for FELV/FIV, spayed, and has received her rabies and all series of distemper vaccines. The adoption fee is $100 .

Our group's purpose is to help the overpopulation of cats, through spaying, neutering, foster care and finding permanent homes for cats and kittens.
This includes vetting, feeding and housing them until we are able to find permanent homes.
We also help with feral and semi-feral cats through spaying and neutering and rehabilitation of the kittens for adoption.
All our members foster out of their own homes.
We also have cats at the DeWitt NY Petco stores for adoption everyday during store hours.
Our Adoption fee of $100.00 includes spay/neutering, vaccinations, flea treatment and worming.
All persons adopting our cats or kittens must complete and sign our Adoption Application.
We check their Vet reference and if and when approved to adopt must sign our Adoption Agreement.
In most cases we do not do same day adoptions. This avoids impulse adoptions. We also try to match our cats and kittens to a family's expectations of a cat they would like.
