UPDATE 3/30/13 Please meet Fassa's Friend, Diesel 2 (not to be mistaken with Diesel adopted in 2010). Diesel 2 is a 3 year old male boxer mix, with natural ears and a docked tail. Diesel 2 will make a great family member for a great home! He loves children, having being raised with them since a pup. He has been in a foster home with children as well. He also is wonderful with other dogs, enjoying play with his canine sister, Maddie. Diesel 2 is housebroken and mannerly. His foster family is working with him on leash manners as he pulls on leash from time to time. Diesel has successfully undergone heart worm treatment and recuperation and is in A-1 shape to meet his very own fur-ever home. Except for the leash issue which is being addressed, this guy is the perfect dog for any home as long as there are NO CATS! Please meet Fassa's Friend, Diesel 2, not to be mistaken with our first Diesel adopted 2 years ago). Deisel is a 3 year old brindle and white, male with natural ears and cropped tail. He is a beautiful boy with equally as beautiful a disposition.
Update 3/13/13: Diesel has successfully completed his heart worm treatment. Treiber foster 2-2-13 1 laying During his treatment and recuperation period he had and continues to live in a foster home with two young children and a canine foster sister Maddie. He is now actively playing with the girls and Maddie and loving every minute. He's a happy guy, also enjoying time to "regroup" with his people. Thank you to his foster home for doing such a terrific job! Diesel DOES NOT like cats. Because Deisel was the required 5 weeke restricted activity following his heart worm injections, he is now crate trained. Diesel's foster home is working with him on leash training. He is doing better but continues to pull now and then. Diesel is the perfect dog for anyone with children as he loves children of all ages. Diesel is an owner surrender, and has been raised with young children, therefore he is great with children of all ages. Diesel weighs in at approximately 65 lbs. He is current on vaccines and has been neutered. He is a calm and loving guy inside, yet when out, he follows the Boxer breed lead. He is curious and energetic. He knows basic commands (sit, lay down, shake, stay) in both verbally and in sign language.
Deisel likes to play with other dogs, both large and small. He also loves children and at present is living with a 2 year old.Diesel4-1-4-13 Looking at camera An animal lover had spotted Diesel Diesel1 1-4-13on Craig's List and was able to take him, providing safety until a rescue could be found. She had pondered keeping Diesel herself, however he doesn't like her cats. Deisel is crate trained. He will need some leash training.
