My story

Pachinko is a very lovable, snuggly and extremely sweet and friendly nine-year-old, female, golden-eyed, Russian Blue-mix cat looking for a loving guardian. Beautiful Pachinko has the silkiest velveteen fur I’ve ever felt on a cat. She was incredibly stressed out in a cage at the shelter, so a volunteer took her home to foster. She’s doing wonderfully outside of a shelter setting and while she’s fine with other cats, her ideal home would be as the one and only pet. Pachinko is happiest curling up in her bed, sitting in the window, perching atop your computer printer, and other rather sedate activities. She has all of her claws but hasn't damaged any furniture in her foster home – she loves her scratch pads! And she's not one to knock things off the shelves! She's a mature, well-behaved little lady. It takes her a little while to adjust to new people so she’s looking for a person or couple who will be patient and wait for her to blossom. Pachinko is very healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, and virus-tested. Her adoption fee of $95 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control. She is currently living on the north side of Chicago.
