My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm Bromley, a nice, very sweet, black and tan 5 year old Doberman/ Coonhound mix I am looking for a forever home and someone to love me . I was taken to a local vet by a group of hunters that they had found me badly injured while out hunting. The Charlotte Cocker Rescue people were at the vet the same time and could hear the men saying they didn’t want to pay for medical care for me. This rescue even offered money to help with costs, but the men surrendered me to the staff and left out the door. My leg was horribly broken in 3 places, so my best option was to amputate my rear leg. The rescue people put out the word that I needed help and a lot of supporters donated the money for my necessary surgery, having me neutered, treated for heartworms, and updating shots.

At first, It took some time to adjust to 3 legs, but I am doing just fine with my other dog buddies and I can romp and play just like the others. I have a great personality, I'm dog and people social, I love attention and I enjoy spending time with you. I do require a special food diet which can be purchased at the vet to keep me healthy as I had to have emergency surgery when they found stones and crystals. The perfect home for me will have a fenced yard and be laid back and not a real busy household. I am a strong guy on a leash even with only 3 legs and I can run really fast. I've been through a lot and beat the odds to survive. Please give me the 2nd chance I deserve to have a forever home and someone to love me. Maybe I am the best friend you have been looking for to spend a great life with.......I would love a chance to meet you!
