My foster parents say I am a sweetheart. I would love a home with someone who will be home most of the time and that want a lap dog cause that's me! I love laps! I really love men too. I sit on my foster dad's lap all the time. I have learned that I have to be invited up. He invites me a lot. Do you have an empty lap for me? I would love to snuggle with you!
And now a few words from my foster mom:
Klinger is sweet, loving, and cuddly. He would sleep in bed under the covers with you if you allowed it. Here he sleeps in a crate at night; only because the bed is taken up with the cats. He just LOVES toys! He is a hoarder with the, gathers them all together. He really likes the ones that squeak. He will add facecloths and other things like that to his pile. He does not chew or destroy anything. He also likes his chews.
He is housetrained but will use a puppy pad if he can't get out. He's a very clean boy! He comes when called. He will bark at strangers when they come but warms up as soon as they pay attention to him. He is a real lover! His appetite is good. He listens pretty well when corrected.
He does have some separation anxiety which we've been working on. He loves the car and would love to go with you as long as he isn't left in the car. An older couple would be ideal. Also someone who would take him on walks or to an off leash park to play.

LOYAL Rescue is a foster based rescue with homes located throughout the province and in the United States. We do not operate a shelter, thus do not have viewing hours. Each pet is in a private home. In order to adopt this pet, please visit our website www.loyalrescue.com and fill in our online application. If you have any questions, please email us by clicking here.
Once you submit the online adoption application, we will arrange for a volunteer to contact you to conduct the telephone interview. The same volunteer will also contact your veterinarian and personal references. If the interview and references go well, a home visit will be booked. Should you be the successful applicant for this pet, you are then welcome to come and meet the dog. You are not obligated to adopt if the fit is not correct, however we must go through this process prior to you meeting the dog.

Although LOYAL Rescue has only been around since 2006, members of LOYAL Rescue have 40+ years of rescue involvement. Through our combined love and dedication to the dogs, we have come together to do what we can to save a life.
All adoptions REQUIRE an application to be filled out. There is an online application at www.loyalrescue.com. Once you complete the application, we will call you to answer any of your questions and confirm details before proceeding. We then call your vet for a reference, and call each of the three references you list on your application. If all goes well, we visit your home to confirm this is the best possible home for the dog you are applying to adopt. If you are approved, you then fill out a contract, pay an adoption fee (between $300-$400) and adopt the dog. ALL DOGS are up to date on shots, spayed/neutered (unless too old, unhealthy or too young to do), dewormed, defleaed and health checked before going to their new home.
We are located in Peterborough, Ontario and serve this area as well as the Kawartha's, across Ontario and even into the Norther States. YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR PET THOUGH as we DO NOT SHIP.
