Pebbles's Story...
Pebbles is a 5 month old spayed female Chihuahua blend who came to the shelter as a stray. Pebbles is a sweet little girl who would love to have a lap to call her very own. although sweet, Pebbles will need some set boundaries and obedience training, to make her a great little companion. Pebbles seems to get along with other dogs as well as cats. She would probably do best in a home with children over 6 who realize she is small and must be handled accordingly. We can't say for sure if she is house trained since she came in as a stray and has not spent any time in a foster home.

If you want to apply for Pebbles click here. You can then email the application to the Meridian Humane Society.Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pebbles, a Meridian Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
