Sammy's Info...
| Breed: | American Shorthair | Color: | Black (All) | Age: | Adult |
| Sex: | Male | ID#: | 2013Sammy02 | Hair: | Short |
I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.
Sammy is a beautiful 3-4 year old altered black male with a whisp of white on his throat. according to the Vet. He was taken in to be combo blood tested, rabies vaccinated and have his mouth checked (inflammation of the gums) to Cabarrus Animal Hospital on 1/31/13. They confirmed he has already been neutered and put him on Antirobe/Clindamycin Drops for his inflamed gums. He has been treated for fleas, dewormed, ears cleaned and checked for ear mites (none).
This cat is so sweet and gentle, never complains, he has a wonderful calm spirit and just seems to put up with anything including car trips, vet trips, other cats. Mid January 2013, he was found or rather he found us when he walked inside Ann's house. She thought he was her female black cat…and he proceeded to made himself right at home. It is felt that he belonged to someone but flyers and posters and a canvas of the neighborhood and closeby area revealed no owner. There is more vet work we need to do on Sammy regarding his mouth but given a short recovery time, he will be ready to be place inside a home to be loved and cared for very soon. He just can’t seem to get enough love and attention.

Second Chance Kitten Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit rescue organization based in Concord, North Carolina. We are a group of volunteers devoted to finding permanent, loving homes for orphaned, surrendered or thrown away cats and kittens. Many of these animals are rescued from the fate of animal control or from individuals who think nothing of abandoning them to fend for themselves. We are committed to making a difference in the lives of these animals and in educating the public about pet overpopulation. Before placement, our kittens/cats are combo blood tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, bathed and treated for fleas, earmites, de-wormed and vaccinated for FVRCP (distemper) and rabies, if old enough
