Georgia on my mind
Meet the oh so sweet Georgia---as soon as we met her she was like the song, Georgia, was 'ON MY MIND: We couldn't quit thinking about her and now we know why. She's a loving and laid back, easy going with the flow girl ---she was a stray taken into a shelter---had a rope around her neck so we think she broke loose from being tied up--- We have found out that She is just a love bug---loves to be pet and walks nicely on the leash. She'll cuddle up next to you and sleep like a puppy--- She's good with other dogs she plays excellent with her Standard Poodle Foster Brother and has been friendly towards others dogs. When she was in the playyard at the shelter she saw the children and other dogs playing in the park next door and just stopped to watched them play---even when she had to go back inside she kept looking over her shoulder at them--we think she might have come from a home with children. ---She is a true breed ambassador, but we all know the bully/power breeds must be better trained than the average dog due to the stigma that has been placed upon them ----So because she is a power breed, we will only place this precious girl with bully/power breed savvy families with older children. With her size we wouldn't want her to just walk by a younger child, knock them down and get hurt. Georgia is about 55 lbs and 4 yrs old. We pull dogs from shelters when their time is up or the shelter is so overcrowded that dogs will need to be put down to make room. We work with a number of local shelters and find wonderful homes for our precious rescues.
Dogs can be seen by appointment only as they are all in foster homes.
Our adoption fee is $275.00
Some home visits may be required before adoptions are approved.
We are a non profit 501(c)(3) based in Alvin, Santa Fe, and Hitchcock Texas. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, micro-chipped and heartworm treated if needed. They are all in foster homes where they can be evaluated to see what home setting they are best suited to. All applications are screened carefully and great homes chosen.
