Beneful dog food - all varieties - has been causing horrible deaths and illnesses among dogs. Not only is it in the top most UNHEALTHIEST brands of dog food, they continue to advertise the "healthy benefits" of this food, completely ignoring complaints and go so far as to claim they haven't received any. They are purposefully blinding themselves to the facts.

The first ingredient is corn - a grain that is difficult for animals to digest and causes GI stress. The second ingredient is "chicken by-product meal - a dry rendered product of slaughterhouse waste. It’s made from what’s left of a slaughtered chicken after all the prime cuts have been removed. In a nutshell, chicken by-products are those unsavory leftovers usually considered 'unfit for human consumption' ". My 1 yr old puppy has been very sick for 2 days: vomiting, excessive/foamy saliva, bloody diarrhea... so today she was taken to the vet. The vet didn't seem too alarmed, but we were worried about her because she is only 11 pounds so she can get dehydrated VERY quickly. We mentioned to the vet what we heard about the issues going around about Beneful, and he looked at us like we were crazy. He said he "has no knowledge of this," which really made me angry because it's literally all over the internet. She's on a couple medications and they are running more tests, but I IMMEDIATELY threw away her Beneful foods when I came home. She is having the same symptoms as the other dogs who are believed to be poisoned...... this is very alarming. The propylene glycol used in this food is the same ingredient used to make anti-freeze. THEY NEED TO CHANGE THE INGREDIENTS OF THIS FOOD IMMEDIATELY, OR PULL IT OFF THE SHELVES COMPLETELY..

She sat around crying out, after some time she started having bloody stool. I called vet, they said take her off Beneful, they have been hearing other dog owners claiming the same ailments. I took her off, and she feels sooo much better. She is up dancing around and happy all the time instead of crying..
