My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Why Choose me?
Lenny and Squiggy were found together and are rooming together in one kennel. Squiggy seems to operate under the delusion that he’s a border collie and Lenny is his sheep, because when we had them in the interaction pen, Squiggy was all over Lenny, half herding, half playing, and throwing in the occasional hump. Lenny for his part, didn’t mind and just tried to work around Squiggy, whether he was sniffing the pen or dancing for a treat. Squiggy is a perfectly friendly little guy, letting us pick him up and hold him, but not for long since he was on herding duty. Lenny is definitely boss man of the pair, at least in his own mind. Some of this may come natural, since he’s both a Chihuahua and a terrier, but this bossy trait may also be exaggerated right now because of his nervousness at being in the pound. Dogs react to the stress of the pound in different ways that don’t always look like fear. Squiggy is an adorable little guy who loves to work, and would be a funny and loving companion for a family that can give him love and teach him boundaries, so he doesn’t think it’s his job to herd and direct the world. He’s worth the effort!
