Ellen's Story...
Hi, my name is Ellen. I am a beautiful, but very scared girl who came in through Animal Control as a stray. I was spotted during early morning hours, roaming a neighborhood all alone. Several hours passed, and I was then found again after I crossed a very busy and dangerous road. I was nearly hit by several cars, but thankfully I made it across alive. I am a friendly dog, but it's very obvious that I need some time to learn to trust people. Deep down, I know that someone out there has enough love to give me and allow me to slowly come out of my shell. I have lots of potential to make someone a wonderful and loyal companion. I will be available for adoption on 2/9/13.

Act quickly to adopt Ellen. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ellen, a Waycross Hound (Unknown Type)/American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/American Bulldog for sale in Waycross, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Waycross.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waycross already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waycross breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/American Bulldog breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waycross paves the way for another one to be saved.
