BREEZY: In Loving Home's Story...
BREEZY : Adopted and in Loving Home!!!
I am a 7 pound Chihuahua girl. I am not yet ready to be adopted because my previous owners dropped me off at the shelter where I got very sick. Open Arms is currently fundraising for me so I can get better. The short story is I have rhinitis and can’t breathe well. I have a tiny wheeze with every breath and that’s how I got my name Wheezy Breezy. I also need an umbilical hernia repaired and a dental. The fundraising goal for my vet expenses is $1,387.52 to cover treatment for rhinitis, nasal blockage, hernia repair, dental and necessary x-rays, CT scan and medications.

Even the smallest donation can help put me on the road to recovery. I am wishing on a star to receive all necessary medical care because my foster Mom says then I'll be ready to go to my forever home. So far the medicine and treatment have helped me to breathe easier. Mom says that despite my challenge, I am the sweetest girl with the most loving personality.. You can contact her at: for more information about me and my veterinary costs.

Make a donation in one of three ways:

1. Send a check: Breezy, c/o Arms Opens Network, P.O. Box 354471, Palm Coast, FL 32135.

2. Via PayPal to: and note it is for Breezy.

3. Send a check directly to our rescue account at: Intracoastal Bank, 1290 NW Palm Coast Parkway, Palm Coast, FL 32137. Write: Attention Susan for Breezy at Open Arms.

About Open Arms Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

*MAKING A DIFFERENCE…….ONE DOG AT A TIME* Open Arms, a non-profit dog rescue organization, is the “last resort” for shelter dogs that are due to be euthanized because of over-crowding and cost of needed medical attention. We also rescue neglected, abused and abandoned dogs found in puppy mills, on the streets, or with owners that surrender their dogs for any number of reasons. These lucky dogs arrive in foster care and live safely in the homes of volunteers. Each receives vaccinations, spay/neuter, dental, microchip, good nourishment, training and love-love-love before placement with wonderful families.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Open Arms rescue dogs live safely in the homes of our volunteers. They are loved just like one of our own fur kids. When a photo and description on our site simply melts your heart, please contact us. Once the adoption process begins, an appointment can be made for you to meet the dog in its foster home.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption process begins when you contact us after finding a dog on our site that calls to your heart. A phone interview followed by completion of an adoption application is next. A meet-and-greet is arranged and if there is a "connection" by both person(s) and dog, a contract is signed. An adoption donation (usually $150)helps to offset the dog's veterinary expenses. Before an Open Arms dog becomes an official member of the family, a home visit is made to ensure the dog's well-being and safety.
