Linus's Story...
Hi, I'm Linus! I came to Friends for Life with my friend Violet. The people who had us before thought we would make cute puppies. I am happy that we are no longer with them because we don't need any more puppies! I'm a fun dog, a bit energetic, and would love to find a family that will take me for daily walks and will help me be all that I can be! I'm cute, and don't you just love my ears! I will be getting fixed the week of February 4, so I will be available later that week. But you can come and meet me anytime we are open!

About Our Rescue Group...
Friends for Life Animal Rescue is a registered nonprofit, volunteer-based, no-kill organization. Started in 1993 Friends for Life maintains an adoption center for it's rescued animals, a low-cost spay and neuter program (grant-funded), and a network of foster homes. Friends for Life also attends off-site locations to adopt the homeless cats and dogs and the organization is always looking for help. Friends for Life does not have a veterinarian on site or on staff. We utilize discounted services of veterinarians kind enough to do so for our rescued animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Linus, a Gilbert Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
