Hugh's Story...
If Hugh could talk, he would probably have such a sad story to tell. Hugh came to us from Tennessee when he was picked up as a stray. The nice rescuers in TN that sent him to us told us that he was an absolute sweetheart, but until you meet Hugh, you just can't even imagine how nice this big boy is. Hugh is about 8 years old and is a Great Pyrenees/husky mix. He has the scars on his face and legs that tell us that he had it pretty rough in life, but Hugh holds nothing against the human race. Saying that Hugh is nice and sweet doesn't even do this dog justice....he is beyond sweet. He is so mellow, loving, mature, distinguished and just an all-around fabulous guy. He is shy when he first meets people, but once he gets to trust you, he will love and adore you always. Hugh is incredibly well behaved, walks perfectly on a leash, is super gentle, and gets along well with other dogs. Hugh was in a foster home in TN with small children, and he happily went to a tea party with the little girl in the home, so he does fine with children too! Hugh is so deserving of a wonderful home....please make his dreams come true! 1/12/13 File#22214

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hugh, a Forked River Great Pyrenees/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees/Husky for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Great Pyrenees/Husky dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees/Husky breeders who help with Great Pyrenees/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
