HAWK's Story...
Hawk is a distinguished, young at heart, 5 year old red and white neutered male border collie. Hawk became my foster very recently and he epitomizes all the traits of what I look for in an all around family companion. He's very outgoing and he's great with people, kids, and other dogs. He is such a lover boy who loves human interaction and has an easy going temperament and is an easy keeper. Hawk is an extremely well mannered houseguest and gentleman--and fits right into the routine at my home as if he has always been here. He settles right down when you bring him into the house and he is housebroken. His activity level is low to medium and he walks reasonably well on a leash. Hawk requires activity in his life, as he is a bit portly and could lose a few extra pounds. Hawk loves to go for walks, car rides, adores going to the dog park, and you can take him anywhere. Additionally, he loves to be groomed and really enjoys tummy rubs and to be massaged. This boy, in return, will shower you with his love, loyalty and companionship. Hawk has been a very well loved dog in his life and would make a great canine member of any family. Hawk is current on his vaccinations and is micro chipped. Available now in So. California

Why Adoption is a Great Option

HAWK, a Phelan Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Phelan, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Phelan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phelan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phelan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phelan paves the way for another one to be saved.
