About Our Rescue Group...
My husband and myself have spent the past 12 years working on my passion for rescuing feral and abandoned cats here in Shasta County, located in Northern California. We have spent almost all of our time, a great deal of our money and energy changing our home and rural property into a safe and secure sanctuary for hungry, injured, sick and unwanted cats that we've found in our community. This includes cats surviving in parks, around fast food restaurants, commercial buildings, vacated houses, and trailer parks.

We work with local animal control agencies, pet adoption groups and other caring individuals to keep these unwanted pets from being mistreated, struggling to survive, injured, or euthanized. Many were family pets before being abandoned. They are all frightened, very hungry, and many have been terrorized, but it is amazing to see how they quickly respond to food and a gentle voice.

Our efforts began in locating, feeding, trapping, spay and neutering, releasing and maintaining homeless cat colonies. Currently there are 17 different locations where nightly feeding and monitoring occurs. Stabilizing colony size with spay and neuters, feeding and monitoring each has created a commitment in time, energy and significant expense. Over time it became apparent that many of the cats being cared for needed a safe house and we decided to relocate them to our property where they are protected and loved.

Little did we realize when we stated this journey that our home would grow into a 24/7 sanctuary. Today we include six part-time employees and we buy carloads of food and litter weekly to maintain the operation that now exists.

Please consider helping us with a donation to help the homeless cats and become part of the solution of the abandoned and feral cat problems. We will be most grateful and life will be full of purring contented cats as a result!
