Juliette's Story...
Juliette is a sweet, calm dog. We think she's a Chow Chow Mix because her looks aren't typical of a purebred chow. Juliette has spent the past 12 years with one family, but due to multiple changes in their life situation they are no longer able to keep her. Juliette does well with most dogs and kids, but cats can sometimes be a bit much for her. Really, though, all this sweet girl wants is to sleep at your feet and be loved. Juliette is now living in a kennel, which is so sad for this sweet senior lady. She is also going to be groomed and will be ever so much more spiffy by the time she is done! Please complete an application at to meet Juliette.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Juliette, a Richmond Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow breeders who help with Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
