My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Addie a beautiful, petite, 4 year old girl rescued from a South Texas puppy mill. She is extremely loving despite her previous environment. For Addie, heaven is snuggling on her foster mom's lap, where she will frequently nuzzle her foster mom's hand to remind her to keep petting!

She is doing well with house training and can use the doggie door if she really wants to! Accidents are few and far between and will most likely be resolved with consistent training. Addie is not fond of her crate during the day but is happy sleeping in the crate at night in her foster mom's bedroom.

While she has been subjected to a great deal of change and will take a little time to build trust with her new family, it does not take long for her to warm up to people. Once she does, she loves lots of attention. She is a happy little wiggle worm when she wakes up in the morning and when her foster mom comes home from work in the afternoon! She would be fine with doggie siblings, especially smaller dogs that she could snuggle with or as an only dog where she would be the center of attention.
A securely fenced yard is needed for this curious girl and because of her small size a home with out small children is recommended.
Addie has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She did test slightly heartworm positive, and our vet recommends a slow kill method, which is nothing more than giving her a monthly HW preventative. She will need to be retested in a year to confirm a negative result. In all other regards, Addie is perfectly healthy.
This sweet little girl has lots of love to give and deserves nothing but the best with her new family! If you can provide a life long, loving home, She is waiting for you!
