Andy's Story...
Please meet sweet-as-pie Andy.

He's the new kid on the block to the Nash Pittie Adopt-a- Bulls family. His foster mom says he's the best foster puppy she's EVER had! Andy appears to be around 25 lbs. currently and 5-6 months old, as he still has most of his baby teeth. He has a sweet, submissive personality and would do well around dogs (male & female) and kids. He's crate trained and has only had an accident in the house twice in two weeks!! Andy likes to rough-house with his foster siblings, take naps, and chew on kongs.

About Our Rescue Group...
Nashville PITTIE was founded by Jana Mandes, a lifelong animal advocate. Jana has been a pit bull guardian for most of her life, with an inherent love of animals and a commitment to making a difference for pit bulls and the communities in which they live. Frustrated with always being on the “defense” and seeing the suffering they endure, we decided to take action to improve these animals’ lives as well as the public perception of the dogs that we know as intelligent, playful, and loyal family pets.

Nashville PITTIE is not a rescue in the traditional sense. We noticed a trend in Nashville’s animal welfare community where a lot of wonderful caring folks opened their hearts, homes, and wallets to rescue efforts and almost immediately became overwhelmed with pleas for help. Too often they find themselves in a vicious cycle of having more animals in need than there is help available. Nashville PITTIE ‘s aim is to get ahead of the issue and prevent homelessness, neglect, and abuse before it happens. The best way to achieve that is through community education and promotion of spay/neuter programs.

Nashville PITTIE is an all Volunteer organization. If you are interested in volunteering, please email volunteer@nashvillepittie.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Andy, a Nashville American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Nashville, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
